Web design for HVAC in Halifax and Nova Scotia

I build websites for heating and cooling businesses in Halifax and across Nova Scotia. I don't have an HVAC client site yet, so this page sticks to what I know: how heating calls come in, and why anything about rebates needs a date on it.

How do heating calls come in?

No heat in winter is a drop-everything call. That person needs a number they can tap the second the page loads, not a menu.

Most other calls are planned work: a heat pump quote, a furnace or boiler service, a ductless install. Those people read before they call, and they call the site that answered their question.

So an HVAC site needs both: an emergency page that gets out of the way, and a page for each planned job that answers the questions properly.

Why do rebate pages need a date?

Nova Scotia's heat pump and home heating rebates have been closing and changing. When I researched rebates for a trades site, the details changed within two days of being written down.

If your site mentions a rebate, link the official page, say the date you checked it, and keep the amount off the page unless you'll update it. A dated line tells a homeowner how far to trust it. An out-of-date amount costs you their trust when they find out.

What can I show you?

No HVAC client site yet. My trades work so far is a landscaper's site in Liverpool and a moving company's site in Halifax, both live, and an electrician's site in build.

Questions HVAC owners ask

Do you have HVAC clients?
Not yet. I'd rather tell you that than imply otherwise. My live trades work is a landscaper's site and a moving company's site, with an electrician's in build.
Should my HVAC site list heat pump rebates?
Only with a link to the official page and the date you checked it. The programs have been changing too fast to print an amount and forget it.

Where next?

See what a website costs on the pricing page, or read why a trades website needs a page for each service.

I work with trades in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Lower Sackville, Cole Harbour, Truro and Liverpool.

Other trades: Plumbers, Electricians, Landscapers.
